The new BMW iX3 costs €61,950 as the 40 and €69,900 as the 50 xDrive on the Belgian price list of 1 October 2026. As a company car, that means €177.00 and €199.71 of benefit in kind a month. Careful: the used iX3 on classified sites belongs to the previous generation, a different car.

€61,950 and €69,900 on the Belgian list, two versions and some packs

The Belgian range fits on two lines, which is good news for anyone trying to compare.

The new iX3 is the first model of BMW's Neue Klasse family, built since October 2025 in Debrecen, Hungary. It has nothing to do with the iX3 sold from 2020 to 2025, a 286 hp electrified X3 that our spec sheet for the previous generation still records. When a used listing shows an iX3 from 2021 or 2023, that is the car in question.

Here is the new range as recorded on 1 October 2026 in Le Moniteur Automobile, the reference Belgian price guide, with the benefit in kind (ATN, the Belgian taxable benefit on a company car) recalculated by us from the legal formula.

iX3 50 xDriveAll-wheel108.7 kWh345 kW€69,900€199.71

Both versions share the same trim lines and the same packs. These are the ones listed on the 50 xDrive page on the same date:

  • M Sport pack, €3,870
  • M Sport Pro pack, which includes the previous one plus red brakes and Iconic Glow exterior lighting, €6,620
  • Professional Pack, with 3D head-up display, three-zone climate control and Harman Kardon audio, €1,760
  • Parking Assistant Pack Professional, €880
  • An Individual metallic paint on its own, €1,450
  • 22 kW AC charging with V2L, sold for €740 in Germany according to electrive in February 2026, missing from the Belgian price list we recorded: ask the dealer for its price

One detail surprised me when cross-checking sources. French prices published in April by the Journal des Flottes give €64,550 for the 40 and €71,950 for the 50 xDrive. The Belgian list is therefore €2,600 and €2,050 cheaper, with 21% VAT against 20% in France. That is the opposite of what we see on Chinese entry-level models, and one more reason never to work out a Belgian depreciation from a price read in France.

How much benefit in kind does a company BMW iX3 cost?

€177.00 a month for an iX3 40 without options, €199.71 for a 50 xDrive. And every option counts.

For an electric car, the annual benefit in kind equals the catalogue value including VAT and options, multiplied by 4% and then by 6/7. The €1,690 annual floor only applies below a catalogue value of €49,291.67. Both iX3s sit well above it, so every euro of options becomes a euro of taxable base. The arithmetic is neat: €1,000 of options is worth €2.86 of benefit in kind a month, €34.29 a year.

On an iX3 40 with the M Sport Pro pack, the catalogue value rises to €68,570 and the benefit to €195.91 a month. That is €3.80 less than a bare 50 xDrive, for a car that keeps its smaller battery and rear-wheel drive. If your car policy caps the benefit in kind, that pack is the first one to strike out.

The Model Y Premium Long Range All-Wheel Drive, recorded at €53,990 on 15 September 2026, pays €154.26 a month. The gap with the iX3 40 reaches €22.74 a month, or €1,091.52 over a four-year contract. The detailed method, case by case, is in our piece on the benefit in kind of an electric company car.

iX3 40 or 50 xDrive: what does the €7,950 gap buy?

A battery 26 kWh larger, a second motor and 127 km of real-world range. No shorter charging time.

Sources: Moniteur Automobile spec sheets as of 1 October 2026 for both iX3s, Tesla's official website and our survey of 15 September 2026 for the Model Y. Tesla publishes neither battery capacity nor charging time, as we had already noted on the Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive. BMW and Tesla boot figures are not necessarily measured the same way, so treat that gap with caution.

Charging time is the line that surprises. Moniteur Automobile on 31 March 2026 quotes 21 minutes from 10 to 80% on the 40 as on the 50 xDrive, despite a peak 100 kW lower: the smaller battery makes up for the lost power. On a holiday drive, the 50 xDrive stops less often, not for less time.

My reading: the 40 is the logical version in Belgium, and the more expensive iX3 only makes sense if you tow, or if you regularly drive beyond 450 km in one go.

What range on Brussels to Arlon via the E411?

I have not driven an iX3 yet. The figures below are therefore calculations, built with the same method as for every car on this site, and I present them as such.

Brussels to Arlon is about 190 km of motorway, and 380 km there and back. In mixed use, the iX3 40 manages 484 km on a full battery, so 387 km within the 90 to 10% charging window you stick to day to day on an NMC battery. The round trip works, with 7 km to spare, which is to say none at all if the boot is full and it is raining on the Ardennes plateau. With two children, the dog and luggage for a weekend in the Ardennes, I would not set off without planning a charger. The 50 xDrive has 489 km in the same window and completes the trip without a second thought.

Winter changes everything. Applying to both iX3s the ratio between homologated consumption and 0 °C motorway consumption that we used for the Model Y, the iX3 40 rises to 26.9 kWh/100 km and the 50 xDrive to 28.2. On a full battery, that leaves 307 and 385 km. Within the 90 to 10% window, 245 and 308 km. The one-way trip works in both cases, the round trip in neither.

These are assumptions, not measurements. They still tell you something useful: in January, the 50 xDrive's extra €7,950 does not spare you the stop at Wavre or Neufchâteau.

Regional taxes: only Wallonia can be costed today

On 1 October 2026, the Belgian price list shows neither registration tax (TMC) nor annual road tax for the iX3, in any of the three regions.

In Wallonia, the SPW Finances, the Walloon tax administration, applies a CO2-based formula to the registration tax, which falls to the €50 floor for an electric car, followed by a flat annual road tax of €107.18 for the period from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027. Over four years, allow €478.72. In Flanders, the exemption for electric cars ended on 1 January 2026 and the annual tax varies from one model to another: as long as the iX3 amount is not published, I will not make it up. In Brussels, the rates re-indexed on 1 July can only be viewed in the MyTax account.

Electricity weighs far more. Over 15,000 km a year, at a real-world 19.1 kWh/100 km for the 40 and 20.0 for the 50 xDrive, home charging costs €923 and €967 respectively in Flanders, €1,022 and €1,070 in Brussels, €1,083 and €1,135 in Wallonia, at the all-in caps published by the CREG, Belgium's federal energy regulator, for the third quarter of 2026.

V2L yes, V2H and V2G not in Belgium

The car can do more than the country allows it to.

The iX3 handles V2L up to 3.7 kW, then V2H and V2G up to 11 kW. According to Moniteur Automobile, the latter two cannot be activated for Belgian customers, for lack of a legal framework, and neither can automatic lane changing. Our piece on bidirectional charging in Belgium covers where the regulation stands.

Should you prefer a Model Y, an Enyaq or an EV3?

It depends on what you actually pay, the purchase price or the monthly benefit.

An employee with a company car aiming for the €140.83 benefit-in-kind floor will not find an iX3 at that level. A Kia EV3 81.4 kWh at €41,990 or a Škoda Enyaq 80 at €43,990, prices recorded for our electric SUV ranking on 6 September 2026, stay below the threshold. The Model Y Premium Long Range All-Wheel Drive comes close, with 600 km WLTP for €7,960 less than the iX3 40.

The iX3 makes its case elsewhere: the fastest charging of this group, the longest homologated range in this comparison on the 50 xDrive, and handling praised in Moniteur Automobile's detailed test of 30 April 2026, scored 17.15 out of 20, which did however criticise divisive styling and ergonomics that could be better. The comparison tool lets you put these models side by side.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the new BMW iX3 cost in Belgium?

On the Belgian price list recorded on 1 October 2026, the rear-wheel-drive iX3 40 starts at €61,950 and the all-wheel-drive iX3 50 xDrive at €69,900, VAT included, excluding options and paint. Both versions share the same trim lines and packs: the M Sport pack costs €3,870 and the M Sport Pro €6,620.

What benefit in kind does a company BMW iX3 pay?

The legal formula takes 4% of the catalogue value including options, multiplied by 6/7. A bare iX3 40 comes to €2,124 a year, or €177.00 a month, and the iX3 50 xDrive to €199.71 a month. Both exceed the €49,292 threshold below which the €140.83 floor applies, so every option is paid for every month.

Is the new iX3 the same car as the used iX3?

No. The iX3 sold from 2020 to 2025 was an electrified X3, with a battery of around 80 kWh, a single 286 hp motor and 150 kW rapid charging. The new iX3, the first model of the Neue Klasse family, sits on an 800-volt architecture, accepts 300 to 400 kW of direct current and shares nothing technically with the old one.

Can the BMW iX3 power a house in Belgium?

Not yet. The car handles V2L up to 3.7 kW and V2H and V2G up to 11 kW, but Moniteur Automobile reported on 31 March 2026 that V2H and V2G cannot be activated for Belgian customers, for lack of a suitable legal framework. V2L, which powers an appliance plugged into the car, works, but it was sold as an option in Germany: check that it appears on your order form.

What is the real-world range of the BMW iX3?

Applying the 0.77 coefficient this site uses for mixed Belgian driving, the iX3 40 drops from 628 km WLTP to 484 km and the iX3 50 xDrive from 794 to 611 km. On the motorway in winter, our working assumption brings that down to 307 and 385 km on a full battery, and to 245 and 308 km within the 90 to 10% charging window.

Le verdict de Christophe F.

In Belgium, the BMW iX3 to buy is the 40 at €61,950: it charges as fast as the 50 xDrive, covers 484 km in mixed use and costs €22.71 less in benefit in kind every month. The 50 xDrive only makes sense for towing or for swallowing long stages beyond our borders. Before signing, weigh every option against the benefit in kind, since above €49,292 everything gets paid for, and forget for now the promises of V2H and V2G, which the car can do but Belgium does not yet allow.
