By default, MVE.be uses no advertising or social-sharing cookies. Baseline audience measurement is handled by Vercel Analytics, without cookies or local storage. If you click "Accept" in the consent banner, we additionally enable Microsoft Clarity, a browsing-analytics tool (heatmaps, journey analysis) that sets third-party cookies. No Clarity cookie is set until you accept; if you refuse, Clarity is never loaded.

Data stored locally

Only strictly necessary data is stored in your browser's localStorage (no HTTP cookies):

• Theme preference (light/dark) — no personal data.
• Cookie consent (key mve-cookie-consent) — stores your response to the GDPR banner. Duration: 12 months.
• Language — managed via URL path, no separate storage.

Consent banner

A consent banner is displayed on your first visit, in compliance with GDPR. Your choice is decisive: "Accept" enables Microsoft Clarity (analytics cookies); "Refuse" leaves it disabled. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the mve-cookie-consent key from your localStorage, which re-displays the banner.

Microsoft Clarity (on consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, Microsoft Clarity is loaded from clarity.ms. This Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd tool analyses browsing in an aggregated, anonymised way (heatmaps, session replay) to improve site usability. It sets third-party cookies, mainly _clck and _clsk (clarity.ms) and MUID (Microsoft), lasting up to one year. As long as you have not clicked "Accept", none of these cookies are set.

Your rights

You can delete localStorage data at any time via your browser settings, or withdraw your consent to disable Microsoft Clarity. Deleting this data does not affect site functionality — your preferences will simply be reset.
